FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How young/old do you have to be to start?
A:
We take children as young as 3 in our specialized preschool classes.  Adults of any
age are welcome; at some locations we have special classes geared towards adults.
Q: What is a feis?
A:
A feis (pronounced "fesh," plural feiseanna) is an Irish dance competition, although it
may also include music and culture.  Dancers compete by age and ability level.
Q: Do I have to compete?
A:
No.  Dancers are encouraged to set their own goals, competitive or recreational.
However, instruction will still stress proper form and technique.
Q: What does TCRG stand for?
A:
TCRG is an instructor's certification to teach through An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelach.
Students must dance with a certified instructor to compete.
Q: Do you offer a family discount?
A:
Yes.  The first two students from the same family pay full tuition; each additional
student is free.
Q: How do I register?
A:
You may complete class registration and have all of your questions answered with a
customer service representative at the studio.
Q: What should I bring to my first class?
A:
Students should bring clothes they can move in and something to drink.  Any dance
shoes or runners are acceptable to start; you won't need Irish dance shoes until you're
ready to compete or perform.  For safety reasons, bare feet or socks are not permitted in
dance classes.
